I'm Allen, a son, a student, a teacher, a consumer, a provider, a friend, an enemy, I'm misunderstood, and most importantly I'm happy. Photography is my route to escapism but not in the traditional sense of hide & seek. I started taking pictures during my bicycling adventures around New York City, both lead me to escape of my day to day routine. Along the way I discovered many opportunities hid like gems between my interactions and conversations with new people.
Photography is a visual way to review my days. I began to seek solitude as I reviewed the photos I took earlier in the day, this allowed me to reflect on the experiences. Exploring the many roles we all take on can be exhausting but capturing these interactions refreshes my sense of humanity. Keeping the future in mind, this escape is a motivating factor that reminds to keep pushing that shutter.
Only time and my pictures will tell it.
